Cancellation and Refund Policy
This Cancellation and Refund Policy applies to the TopCited platform (hereby referred to as the "Platform") operated by TopCited (hereby referred to as the "Service Provider"). It explains how subscription cancellation works, how free trials convert to paid plans, and when refunds may be available. It should be read together with the Terms & Conditions.
Subscription Cancellation
You may cancel a paid subscription at any time from your account settings (Settings → Billing → Manage billing). Cancellation stops future renewals; you keep access to paid features until the end of the billing period you have already paid for. Cancellation does not, by itself, provide a refund for the current billing period. You do not need to complete a survey or speak to anyone to cancel.
Free Trials
Paid plans may be offered with a free trial. A valid payment method may be required to start a trial. The exact trial length is shown at signup and at checkout. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your selected paid subscription plan will automatically begin at the end of the trial period, and the payment method on file will be charged the plan price stated at checkout. To avoid being charged, cancel before the trial end date shown in your billing dashboard and in your confirmation email.
Usage Limits and Authorized Usage
The Service Provider will not charge additional usage-based fees during a free trial unless you expressly authorize such additional usage. Where extra usage, additional credits, or overage charges are available, they are incurred only after you provide express authorization, and that authorization is recorded.
Refund Requests After Payment
A one-time refund of a paid subscription charge may be available where all of the following apply:
- the refund request is submitted within 7 calendar days of the initial purchase date;
- the request relates to the customer's first paid subscription purchase;
- the account has not exceeded the applicable usage threshold for prompt credits, engine runs, reports, or other paid usage;
- the purchase was made directly through TopCited's official website or authorized billing system; and
- the request is submitted through the refund request process made available by the Service Provider.
Submitting a refund request does not guarantee approval. Eligibility is assessed against the conditions above and applicable law.
Non-Refundable Charges
Usage-based charges, overage fees, and add-ons that were expressly authorized and already incurred are non-refundable to the extent permitted by applicable law.
How to Request a Refund
Submit refund requests through our refund request form (/support/refund-request) or support channel. You may be asked to provide your account email, invoice number or transaction ID, purchase date, plan name, and usage-related information so we can verify eligibility. Approved refunds are generally issued to the original payment method. Processing times may vary depending on your payment provider. Refund requests are handled separately from subscription cancellation.
Third-Party Purchases
If you purchased access through an app store, reseller, or other third party rather than directly from TopCited, refunds are governed by that party's policies rather than this policy.
Changes to This Policy
The Service Provider may modify this Cancellation and Refund Policy from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect signifies acceptance of the updated policy.
